I installed some auxiliary light pods onto the handlebars of the TW200. I added flood lights for brighter lights close up while trail riding. They’re fairly bright, but don’t extend very far. I’m thinking about adding a spot light bar as well. However, they are still bright enough to get drivers on the road to flash their lights at me, which tells me at the very least they do see me at night. I have them set to my regular light circuit, so turning the high beams on will turn these lights off. I’m thinking about adding the spot lights to the high beam circuit, that way I can choose between a closer, but wider beam, and a further but narrower beam.
The actual installation wasn’t that difficult. Though, I am a little disappointed with my wiring work. I opted for a fairly fast and dirty wiring job, and I definitely could have done a neater wiring job. I was also running low on criming materials and wire, and I did not want to run and grab more materials, so I opted to work with what I had. Not my finest work, and I will likely go back and redo the wires when I install the lightbar.
Regular lights with the high beam on, no flood lights.
Flood lights on.
