I’ve been pretty busy at my new job, which is ultimately a good thing. It’s better to be too busy as opposed to not busy enough. I’ve recently signed up for diving lessons, and hopefully sometime next week I will be certified o dive down to around 60 feet. Other than that, my life has been fairly quiet for the first time in a long while. I’ve met a relatively new group of people who share my interests, and we hang out on the regular.
Since around 2023, I’ve been dealing with all sorts of running related injuries. I laid the TW200 down once, and sprained my right patella. This caused me to change how I run, and it has more or less led to regularly occurring injuries to my feet and my legs. In the past 3 years, I have sprained every toe, both my my iliotibial bands, tore my right quad muscle, sprained my left peroneal tendon, and had countless other tendonitis incidents. I’ve recently started wearing ankle braces, and a knee sleeve around my right knee. I’ve also been religiously using the sauna, and stretching religiously inside the sauna. I’ve been feeling a lot less pain in my legs, and overall I’ve been feeling the most relax I’ve felt in years. Maybe it’s a placebo effect situation, and really my body just feels better without anything actually changing. However, I feel better, and that ultimately is what matters the most.
I recently replaying Breath of the Wild, and stopped about 95% of the way through due to the Champions Ballad DLC. BOTW is an amazing game, except for the Champions Ballad. The DLC overall is fairly tedious, and the reward for completing it isn’t that impressive. The story told through the DLC also isn’t pertinent to the actual story told in BOTW. Overall, it’s a large distraction from an actual quest that has actual stakes. Instead of completing the game, I opted to start playing Old School Runescape again, and playing StarDew Valley with a friend of mine.
