Early March Blog

I’ve been messing around with some blockchain management and mining. I like Monero, and will at some point write a musing about it. I go back and forth about placing a wallet here, and I’m like 85% convinced I should, for donation purposes. I doubt I will ever get a donation, but hey, I want to advertise the existence of Monero to aid in getting it popularized. I’m a huge proponent of privacy and anonymity, and I think that as currency becomes digitized (let’s be honest, carrying around physical currency is annoying), I believe that something like Monero could be a viable replacement.

I also purchased a small compass that sits on my watch (see pic below). I do a lot of hiking out in the middle of nowhere, typically off trails, sometimes in the middle of the night. I do have a fancy-shmancy lensatic compass that is accurate within something like half a degree. However, most of the time, I just need a general cardinal direction to point to. It was $7, but I think the knowledge of cardinal directions is priceless.

I’m still without a vehicle, which is driving me insane. Never do not have a set of wheels to take you somewhere.

My work colleagues have given me an assortment of books to read (pictures below). I’m glad to be surrounded by people much like Zhuul and his girlfriend (Neither of whom have updated their websites in a while) who also enjoy academic shenanigan discussions.

I have recently become a huge proponent of stretching. I’m an extremely athletically active person, and I’ve noticed that after I hit 30, my flexibility has decreased quite sharply. Maybe I’ve always been inflexible, and being younger allowed me to grit through it? Maybe my muscle did become inflexible after doing 30 revolutions around the sun? I don’t know. However, I’ve started stretching in the morning, and at night before bed, and have noticed a marked improvement in my flexibility. I recommend everyone start doing that, and do it young. I wish I had listened to my fitness instructors when I was a kid.

In Legend of Zelda, Tears of the Kingdom, I have played roughly 150ish hours of gameplay. I feel like I’m barely halfway through the game. I thought Breath of the Wild was a massive expansion of the Zeldaverse. Boy howdy has Tears outshined its senior. I will write a blog about Tears, and a spoiler filled blog about Breath of the Wild and Tears. However, I can tell you here that buying a Nintendo Switch and Tears of the Kingdom is a sound investment, if you enjoy open world fantasy games. I do dislike Nintendo as a company (I will write about that in a musing at some point). However, they make excellent games, despite being one of the worst game development company’s.
